A Jewish restaurant based on a timeline from the Middle Ages to the present day. The restaurant offers a taste of Jewish history Throughout different periods. This allows the customer to learn and explore different flavors at different times.

In this project I created branding for a restaurant. The branding included logo design, branding language and identity , interior design, website design, menu, products, digital marketing and brand book.

// FINDING THE PROBLEM

A unique application was developed and designed for the festival that fits the nature of the festival. Below - a radio accompaniment of some of the songs that will be performed at the festival to inspire a desire to come and participate.In the application you can purchase tickets securely, and read information about the various artists who will appear during the festival.

My goal was to create a combination of and old and modern restaurant that represents the legacy of jewish foods.

// THE QUESTION

How do I create a restaurant that preserves Jewish culture and preserves the uniqueness of today and the past?

GOAL & PROBLEM

Logo Design

The logo symbolizes the essence of the restaurant and contains the shape that creates the word “Restory”. The circle around the shape symbolizes the dimension of time and remind a clock, infinity, circularity and repetition that reinforce the restaurant’s values.  Also, the logo is built in two different ways that create a strong contrast which characterizes the difference between the medieval period and today. ​

// POSTER DESIGN & BRAND BOOK

The poster is part of the restaurant’s advertising. Every week the poster is changed to a special event. The project also has a brand book which is specifies all the properties of the branding.

// SUMMERY

In the end , it was important to me to produce a restaurant that is following its values: curiosity, legacy, change & learning. A restaurant that will arouse thought and interest.

I designed aprons made with meticulous sewing. The aprons are changeable and dynamic and include the branding and the illustrations I created.

// THE APRON PRODUCTION PROCESS 

I made the apron myself using acrylic paintings. I wanted to illustrate myself on the apron to create the authenticity that is in the restaurant itself, combined with manual typography that shows the personal hand.

THE PROCESS

The research included a study of the characteristics of Judaism, and Jewish food from the Middle Ages and its association to the present day, a study of Jewish lettering and cave illustrations. Also, My visual research included the appearance of the restaurant from the inside, optional restaurant names and various sketches for logos.  

SOCIAL MEDIA & SITE

The restaurant has a site where you can be impressed by the atmosphere of the restaurant and book a reservation. In addition, there is an Instagram page to advertise the restaurant and showcases the flagship dish every week.
